maybe once i can breathe again i can be a normal person..

my life in the last week or so has been quite boring. last weekend though was pretty great.  a lot of kappas who are already abroad came in town! Friday, we started with a lovely dinner at la bo tiga. it was pretty phenomenal. started out with some champagne, followed by some patatas bravas (my favorite tapa), and then for my main course i had a skewer of shrimp and scallops.  i was especially excited about this because i have yet to find scallops here! afterwards, we trekked to chupitos where some questionable shots were taken, by none other then ex-prez mary margaret lewinski. however, we did have some delicious boy scout shots, which i could not tell you what they were made out of but they were chased with a marshmallow.

we then went to shoko, where we were hit on by international students and me and beth got sexually harassed by the bacardi bat. traumatizing experience. then at 4 AM i paid for a taxi all the way back to sarria on my own for 14 euros. THAT WAS FUN.

saturday, we did lots of sight seeing! started out the day with Bo de B, just spreading the obsession, and then we walked around barceloneta a little.

After that, we checked out Parc Guell and la sagrada familia! both amazing works of architecture by Gaudi. we were all freezing our asses off so we decided to hit up a gelato place with churros con chocolate. SO good!

for dinner, we met up again, and went to tapa tapa! they had excellent tapas and cava (champagne) sangria!

everything was so good! we then went to a small spanish pub down the street from chupitos and watched the barcelona game. everyone called it a night early because they all had to be on planes super early. it was so good seeing you girls!

sunday was one of the most unproductive days i've had since i've been in barcelona. although, sunday night we went to fahrenheit for the superbowl! it didn't start til 12:30 and ended at 4:30... needless to say i don't know how i got up for my 9 am class.

since then, i've booked a trip to paris for February 24th and i'm going to montserrat tomorrow. i also got really sick a couple of days ago so i've been completely lame and tried to get better. i've gotten better, and hopefully montserrat won't be completely miserable tomorrow!

sorry for this overwhelmingly lame post, but hopefully after i'm sick i'll be more interesting!
